Packrist: Travel Planner ("Packrist", "we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application developed by Kurtulus Ahmet TEMEL. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

When you sign in using Apple Sign In, we receive:

• Your email address (or Apple's private relay email)
• Your display name (if you choose to share it)
• A unique user identifier

We do not collect or store your Apple ID password.

1.2 User-Generated Content

Data you create within the app is stored to provide our services:

• Trip details (destination, dates, trip name)
• Packing lists and item status
• Budget entries and expense records
• Day planner activities and routes
• Country visit records (map feature)
• Uploaded travel documents
• AI travel guide conversation history

1.3 Automatically Collected Data

We automatically collect certain technical data to improve app performance:

• Device type and operating system version
• App crash logs and error reports
• General usage analytics (feature usage, screen views)
• App version information

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain core app functionality (trips, packing lists, budgets)
• Sync your data across devices via cloud storage
• Enable collaboration features (shared trips)

4. AI Travel Guide

Packrist includes an AI-powered travel guide feature. When you use this feature:

• Your messages and trip context (destination, dates) are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate responses.
• Conversation history is stored in your account for continuity.
• We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
• You can delete your conversation history at any time within the app.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We implement appropriate security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
• Firebase Security Rules to restrict unauthorized access
• User-scoped data isolation (each user can only access their own data)
• Offline caching with encrypted local storage

While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained as long as your account is active.
• Trip data: Stored until you delete it or delete your account.
• Analytics data: Retained for up to 14 months (per Firebase defaults).
• Crash logs: Retained for up to 90 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Delete your trip data, packing lists, and conversation history within the app
• Request complete account deletion by contacting us
• Opt out of push notifications via device settings

7.2 European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, you have additional rights:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Restriction: Request limitation of data processing

7.3 California Residents (CCPA)

8. Children's Privacy

Packrist is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our third-party service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
